Been busy reading Andrew Loomis books and Famous Artist Courses. Also been doing artist copies in my sketchbook to just study and absorb different things. I’ve gotta do an illustration for a local poem book that should be fun. I’ve got what I think is a pretty cool idea, so hopefully I can pull it off. I have a few other images in the works, but everything is in very early stages and needs a lot of work. Hopefully I’ll have some new stuff soon. I’m bouncing around between all 4 of em, so none of them have really got any legs under them yet.
Till then, here are two ink and white-out sketches I did. I’ve pulled way too many magazine pages as drawing reference, just to study whenever I don’t know what to draw. So, I ended up drawing this picture of Kanye West. I think I saved it ‘cuz I liked the gloves and the thing around his neck…I don’t really remember, but it was fun to sketch up. And I think I’m going to do a couple more Romans, cuz their armor is awesome.
